Mesharia Montgomery

Director, Human Resources

Mesharia Montgomery is the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for overseeing compensation, benefits, performance management, succession planning, employee relations and compliance for over 650+ employees. Her specialties include compensation and benefits plan design and implementation, as well as risk management, particularly related to workers compensation. Mesharia began her career with the organization in 1989. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Certificate in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix, she assumed the role of Payroll and Benefits Manager for the organization. As she continued to grow in experience and additional HR responsibilities, she was promoted to Associate Director and then became the Director of Human Resources in 2015. Mesharia is deeply committed to the mission vision and values of the organization and our employees.

Andrea Resendez

Associate Director, Human Resources

Andrea has worked in the developmental/intellectual disabilities field since 1999. In 2012 she transitioned her career to Human Resources as a HR Generalist and was later promoted to her current role as Associate Director of HR. Andrea has extensive experience providing regulatory oversight and consultation services, as well as developing and implementing processes for employee on-boarding, orientation and off-boarding. Andrea holds a BA in Psychology, a MA in Business Administration and a Professional Certificate in Human Resources Management.

Tina Baker-Squier

Associate Director, Human Resources

Tina Baker-Squier is an Associate Director of Human Resources/HR and has worked in the HR department since coming to Pathways/NMSC nine (9) years ago. Prior to working for the organization, Tina spent 25 years working in the community mental health system with her most recent position as a Program Manager at Jefferson Center for Mental Health/JCMH for 12 years, Here she started a homeless program, oversaw several group homes, and managed day-to-day personal issues with employees in these programs. Tina’s areas of expertise include employee relations, compliance issues, developing policies and procedures and working with employees and managers regarding performance issues. Tina has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Organizational Management, a Certification in Human Resources and is certified as a PHR through the Society of Human Resources Management. Tina is a native of Colorado.

Abby Wurmnest

Associate Director of Talent Acquisition

Abby came aboard with NMSC in May 2014 and oversees talent acquisition for the organization. She brings over 12 years of experience in human resources and events/hospitality having worked for such organizations as European Walking Tours, the Colorado Nursery & Greenhouse Association, and Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage. Abby earned a B.S. in Psychology and a M.Ed. in Organizational Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
